Important: melo is a peer support and wellness companion platform. It is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, therapy, or medical advice. By accessing or using the melo platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Melo Technologies Pvt Ltd ("melo", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in India.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

melo is a peer support platform. Hosts on melo are trained wellness companions — they are not licensed therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, or medical professionals. Sessions on melo are supportive conversations, not clinical treatment.
melo does not provide:
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or a medical emergency, please stop using melo and immediately contact a licensed mental health professional, call iCall (9152987821), or visit your nearest emergency facility.
You must create an account to access sessions and other features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@meloapp.in if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating or updating your account. melo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false, misleading, or incomplete information.
Each user may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, accumulate credits, or abuse promotions is prohibited and will result in permanent termination of all accounts.
Users can browse available hosts and request a session. A session begins only when the host accepts the request. You will be charged per minute based on the host's published rate. Your wallet balance must be sufficient to start a session.
All sessions must be conducted respectfully. You agree not to:
melo reserves the right to end any session and suspend any account found to be in violation of these conduct standards.
Hosts set their own availability. melo does not guarantee that any specific host will be available at any given time. Session requests may be declined by hosts without explanation.
melo operates on a prepaid wallet system. You must add credits to your wallet before you can book sessions. Credits have no cash value outside the platform and cannot be transferred to other users.
Session charges are calculated based on actual session duration (in minutes) multiplied by the host's rate per minute. The charge is deducted from your wallet balance at the end of each session. If your balance runs out during a session, the session will end automatically.
All prices are inclusive of applicable GST where required under Indian law. melo will issue a receipt for all wallet top-ups upon request.
Hosts on melo are independent individuals who have applied and been approved by melo. By becoming a host, you additionally agree to:
melo reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove any host who violates these obligations, with or without prior notice.
All content on the melo platform — including the website design, logo, copy, graphics, and software — is the property of Melo Technologies Pvt Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws in India.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of melo's content without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of content you create (e.g. messages you send), but by using the Service you grant melo a limited licence to store and display that content as necessary to operate the platform.
You agree not to use melo to:
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. melo does not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that hosts will provide advice that is accurate or suitable for your individual circumstances.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, melo shall not be liable for:
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to melo in the 30 days preceding the claim.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@meloapp.in. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days subject to any legal retention obligations.
melo may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:
Upon termination, any unused wallet balance may be forfeited if the termination was caused by a breach of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
