The rules that govern your role as a melo host. Please read them carefully before applying or accepting sessions.
Important: Hosts on melo are trained wellness companions, not licensed therapists, psychologists, or medical professionals. These Host Terms are additional to and should be read alongside melo's general Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
By applying to become a host, or by accepting and conducting sessions on the melo platform, you agree to be bound by these Host Terms & Conditions ("Host Terms"). These form a legally binding agreement between you and Melo Technologies Pvt Ltd ("melo", "we", "us", or "our"), a company incorporated in India.
If you do not agree to these Host Terms, you must not apply to host or accept sessions on melo. We reserve the right to update these Host Terms at any time — continued hosting after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
To become a melo host, you must:
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. melo reviews every application and reserves full discretion to approve, reject, or request more information before granting host access, at no obligation to explain the decision.
Hosts are independent individuals, not employees of melo. Nothing in these Host Terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between you and melo. You are responsible for your own taxes and compliance obligations arising from income earned through the platform.
Hosting on melo is peer support, not clinical treatment. As a host, you must not represent yourself as a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or medical professional unless independently qualified and acting outside the scope of melo, and you must not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescriptions through the platform.

melo reserves the right to end any session and suspend or remove any host found in violation of these conduct standards.
Session conversations are private and belong to the user. As a host, you must:
These confidentiality obligations survive even after you stop hosting on melo.
You control your own availability and may accept or decline session requests at your discretion. melo does not guarantee any minimum number of sessions or earnings. Once you accept a session, you are expected to see it through professionally; repeatedly abandoning active sessions may result in suspension.
Users pay melo directly on a per-minute basis at the rate you set on your profile, subject to melo's approval. melo tracks session duration and calculates your earnings accordingly. melo may retain a service/commission fee on session earnings, communicated to you separately from these Host Terms.
Payout schedule, method, and any applicable minimum thresholds are communicated to approved hosts directly. You are responsible for reporting and remitting any taxes applicable to your earnings under Indian law.
melo may suspend or permanently remove any host, with or without prior notice, for:
You may stop hosting at any time by notifying melo. Outstanding earnings for completed sessions will be paid out per the standard payout schedule; earnings tied to sessions terminated for a breach of these Host Terms may be withheld.
All content on the melo platform — including the website design, logo, copy, graphics, and software — is the property of Melo Technologies Pvt Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws in India. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of melo's platform or brand without our prior written consent.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, melo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your role as a host, including loss of earnings due to platform downtime, user disputes, or account suspension made in accordance with these Host Terms.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount melo paid you in the 30 days preceding the claim.
These Host Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Host Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
