Child Safety Standards

The short version: melo is an 18+ platform. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation in any form, and any account found to involve a minor is immediately suspended and permanently removed.

1. Age Requirement

melo is an adults-only platform. Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy require all users to be 18 years of age or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from or permit accounts for anyone under 18.

2. Zero Tolerance

melo has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. Any account found to be used by a minor, or found distributing, soliciting, or facilitating child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploitative content involving minors, is immediately suspended and permanently removed, and we cooperate fully with law enforcement.

3. Prevention & Detection

Account creation requires an 18+ age attestation.
Every conversation can be reported, or the other party blocked, directly from the chat screen — for any reason, including suspected exploitation or involvement of a minor.
Reports are reviewed by our team through an internal moderation queue.
If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we promptly delete the account and associated data.

4. Reporting

If you believe a melo account involves a minor, or you've encountered CSAM or CSAE on our platform, contact us immediately at support@getmelo.in with the subject "Child Safety Report."

We investigate and act on all such reports as a priority, and report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement as required by law.
